Requirements
- Develop a relapse and recidivism plan
- Attend all sessions and be on time
- Be involved in structured sharing exercise in the group
- Keep all information learned about group members in trust and confidence, and not discuss it with other people
- Remain from AOD use during the course of the program .
- Be AOD free when attending all sessions.
- Meet the following participation expectations:
- Complete all the excises and work sheets (Grading Scale of all assignments to include participation and knowledge of content; 4=Advanced 3= Proficient, 2=Partially Proficient, 1=Unsatisfactory.
- In order to successfully complete this course you must have a 3 in both participation and knowledge of content.
- Level II therapy will be in an open group forum. The facilitator will provide you with the specific expectations at the beginning of the course including policy for attendance, participation, and coursework, along with consequences for missed/late assignments.
- Make-up work may be required if the client misses an assignment. This work is arranged, in advance if possible, between the facilitator and the client. The client is responsible for contacting the facilitator for the additional assignments(s).
- Late Assignments/Assignment Revisions
- Occasionally, work, health, and family obligations take priority over course work. If you experience these issues, please notify the facilitator in advance. If an assignment is due, please make every effort to submit your assignment on time. In the case of a negotiated absence or delay, assignments turned in by the agreed upon due date will be determined by the facilitator and provided in the course expectations
The mission of IDEP level II Therapy is to “promote public safety by reducing the number of injuries and fatalities due to driving under the influence of alcohol or other drugs. Individuals attend this course because their use of alcohol or other drugs has put them and others at risk. The course encourages effective decision-making and the reduction of recidivism by providing accurate information about alcohol and other drugs and assisting them in making changes to their high-risk substance use behaviour.
